Antidiabetic property of ethanol extract of pelargonium graveolens with constituents chemical screening

Objects: The phytochemical screening and the antihyperglycemic impact of Pelargonium gravelens were performed to judge ethanol extract using alloxan-induced diabetic rats. Methods: Intragastric ethanolic amount level 220 mg/kg body weight given alloxan-encouraged male albino rats for four weeks. Diabetic control assumed equivalent quantity vehicle (Dimethylsulfoxide, DMSO) processed together with former group. serum insulin, liver glycogen assay oral glucose tolerance tests done. chemical P. graveolens specified existence carbohydrates, glycosides, triterpenes, cardenolides, saponins, sterols, tannins, flavonoids catechins. Results: diabetic-treated clear improvement declined hepatic content without associated excess in insulin concentration. Conclusions: Graveolens improved alloxan-treated
